Much to my mom’s chagrin, I was NOT the little princess she expected to have. I was a tomboy through and through, and I HATED all things floral and pink. When we would go school shopping, we would be on the verge of WWIII bc I refused to wear any of the frilly looks she tried to pick out for me. Now that I’m older, though, I grew into my girliness (it’s quite funny actually), and while I did develop a love for floral prints, I still stay on the darker side.

Don’t get me wrong, I love pink and I love pretty pastels, but something about a dark floral jacket or blouse just screams sophistication. When I’m out looking for inspiration, that’s what my eyes gravitate to.

You can still make it sweet with soft pink accessories, but florals grounded in black and white are definitely the trend to try.
