Pink + Blue and a Pair of Booties Too
I love, love, LOVE the fact that the fashion blogger community in Memphis is growing! The more we make ourselves known, the more events + opportunities happen for us.
Last night I attended a VIB (Very Important Blogger) meetup hosted by Carriage Crossing. About 13 bloggers came together to mingle, have cocktails, and take a tour of a few retailers at the outdoor shopping center. We kicked things off at Frida’s Mexican Restaurante with cocktails and appetizers, stopped by Bare Minerals for product demos (and a goodie bag), shopped at Therapy Boutique, then ended with a tasting from Buttercups Cupcakes.

I worked in the boutique earlier in the day, so I made sure to wear something cute and comfy that would work for the evening. It’s really warming up here, so I wanted to get in one last wear of my H&M knit sweater; I paired it with drawstring trousers I nabbed at Old Navy last year and my Spring mules.
I usually wear some sort of long layering necklace every day, but that morning I found a snakeskin bib necklace mixed in with makeup in a bag (don’t ask) and it was the perfect accessory. I want more statement necklaces, so I picked up a rustic looking one from Therapy Boutique that’s going to look great with my high neck maxis and rompers this season.
Speaking of Therapy Boutique: they have some really cute stuff in there! They’ve been open for a few years, but it was my first time visiting. While we were getting cupcakes, some of the other bloggers had stayed behind to get a peek at boots that had been marked down to only $15 for the Sidewalk Sale they’re having through this weekend. Of course, the rest of us went back, and I picked up these beauties (similar here).

I’ve been wanting a leather or suede pair with a lower heel that could be worn with shorts and distressed denim when it got warm, and these fit the bill. They’re super comfy and I love the color.
I had a blast running around with my fellow bloggers and can’t wait to do it again. And thank you to the sole male blogger, Denzel Alexander, for snapping my pic! If you’re a fashion/style blogger in Memphis and missed out, please comment below so that I can get you added to the list!
