A Night Out in Dark Florals

Black and Red Floral Dress

I’m a firm believer of not saving outfits, but every blue moon it works out that way (and is actually for the best). I recently met one of my friends for drinks at the newly renovate Hu. Hotel Rooftop Bar downtown. The bar has a whole vibe (I’ll share more on that soon), so I knew I wanted to wear an extra cute fit.

I found this floral print fit and flare Who What Wear Dress when I went to Kirkwood, MO a few months ago and fell in love with it as soon as I put it on. I’m a sucker for dark florals, and while it’s a traditionally feminine cut, the poufed sleeves help to edge it up a bit. I initially was saving it because I wanted to wear a specific type of bootie with it to play up the whole vintage feel, but I haven’t found exactly what I want just yet so I decided to go in a different direction.

I knew the canary yellow heels + tiered drop earrings would add a more editorial element to it while the leather wrap belt brought more edge. Had to pair it with a smokey eye to complete the look!

Moral of this post? Never be afraid to wear your “special” pieces, but also, there’s nothing like creating a vibe with your look. It makes getting dressed so much more fun!
