As you know from this post, last Friday I went to a fashion show held downtown in Court Square Park featuring designs from Sache, a clothing and design company located on South Main. Worn by talent from the Lisa Lax Agency, it was a fun way to spend your afternoon in the park. Fellow Memphis Blogger Beale Street Chic was part of the show as well!
Well, I have no clue where my camera is (hopefully it’s tucked safely in storage), but my ace Ziggy works downtown and happened to have his camera with him at work so he took an early lunch and snapped some shots. He’s such a phenomenal photographer. He’s known for his event work, but he’s building buzz as a go-to photographer for portraiture. Check out his website here.
They opened the show with a performance by a group named Sorelle’; they performed acoustic versions of Jessie J’s “Price Tags” and “If I Die Young” by The Band Perry in addition to original work.
NO formal training, they sounded fantastic! Seriously, if anyone has any info on them, please share!
Pics from the show:
There was also a live demonstration on how they alter their shirts. They do the cutting while you’re wearing the shirt so that it’s specific to your body type.
They have 20+ different ways to cut. Friday was also Trolley Night*, so later I visited the store and was able to get a little more backstory on their creations and see the studio were the shirts are silk-screened.
Extra fun : while at the fashion show, I spotted a girl who had that cool, California laid back vibe that I love, and I got Ziggy to take a picture of her.
