This Friday I’m hosting Cocktails + Conversations, a fun little fashion + mixology event to help kick off the (official) start of summer and the (unofficial) season of home entertainment. Now is the time that many of us will be entertaining guests at home, so we wanted to have some fun and give tips and tricks on essentials to keep on deck at all times.
In addition to food and drinks, you really want to set the mood for your event. Whether it’s with full out decorations like balloons and special china (*cues Iggy Azaela’s “Fancy), or something simple like candles (always, always, ALWAYS keep candles in your stash!), you need a few things in your arsenal to jazz your place up a bit.
A super simple way to do it is with fresh flowers.
You don’t have to spend an arm or a leg on them (your local market or grocery can sometimes have bouquets for as cheap as 5 bucks), but you do want to spend a little time on selecting and arranging them.
I will be partnering with a floral designer soon for more on home (I can’t wait!), but in the meantime, here are a few simple arrangements I found on Pinterest (holy grail for inspo!) while researching my own arrangements that I want to have on Friday.
So pretty but simple, right??! And it goes without saying you will be seeing some pink flowers Friday if you come to the event, lol (there a few tickets left!). Click here to see my Pinterest board (I have tons more arrangements there). Hope to see some of you guys Friday!
