Designer Tara Skelley showed her Dilettante Collection at Friday’s Memphis Fashion Week Runway Show at MCA, and while I got a preview of her sketches during my creative space visit, the actual pieces were beyond my expectations-in short, AH-MAZING!
I absolutely adored the watercolor pastels, and while she created garments that were practical and can easily be mixed into your wardrobe, she still injected a little bit of whimsy, which is what every girl needs when she’s looking for a real statement piece.
The showstopper of the night? This gorgeous gown that was made with real flowers and lace. She collaborated with Ashlye McCormick Design, and it was executed flawlessly. I’m so proud of her!

Great work seaming and looking ove rour pieces for hte event before “grabbing role into public on site of the event.” Taste: Spring mixed color clothier collaboration.
