Not exactly sure why, but I recently found myself experimenting with a super thick winged liner when I would go out for the day. I have small eyes, so this is a technique that most beauty gurus would tell me to avoid, but something about my shorter haircut (which I’m growing out; don’t ever cut your hair when you’re bored) and this amazing natural/peachy blush that I picked up from M.A.C. (Sunbasque) made me want to channel my inner Nicole Richie meets the 70s.
My holy grail liquid liner is the N.Y.C. Liquid Eyeliner in Black. I’ve tried so many brands, but I’ve purchased at least 5 tubes of this $3 liner over the years. I go back to it because it’s extremely opaque, has a small brush so you can precision line, and if you allow it to dry fully before doing anything else to your eyes, it WILL NOT MOVE. Seriously. If it smudges it’s a mess so you have to be patient once you apply it, but I’ve yet to find any other liquid liner that does what this does.
I hate false lashes, but mine are a good length so if I load both bottom + top up with mascara I can still have some added drama. Lately I’ve been reaching for Maybelline’s The Falsies Volum’ Express Mascara. I use the waterproof version because my eyelids are oily, and it’s one of the few mascaras I’ve found that doesn’t smudge.
My current favorite nude lippie is the H3 Lipgloss by Mally Beauty (review here). The Perfect Nude shade really truly is that.
