As you may or may not know, I’m also a contributor to BG Memphis Magazine, and Blog Manager for NDLOOP.net, an entertainment and nightlife website, both in Memphis. Anyhoo, I interviewed local Hip-Hop artist Skewby (on behalf of NDLOOP) for his new release, More Or Less, which drops today. I’ve been rocking with Skewby for a while, and went to his listening session last Friday and I was impressed with the new music. This past Friday, I had the pleasure of going to fellow Memphian Skewby’s private listening session for his latest release, More Or Less. He’s had quite a busy year since the release of last year’s Proving You Wrong since ’88 (he’s been featured in the Source’s Unsigned Hype column (April/May 2010), performed on MTV, and opened for Lil Wayne’s Farewell tour). Based on the positive responses he received at the listening session, he won’t be slowing down anytime soon. Skewby is definitely an artist to keep on your radar.
He took some time out yesterday to answer a few questions for me. Check it.
(if you look hard enough, you’ll catch me in the video lol) ** Skewby will also be headed to the Sundance Film Festival the follow day, and has plans to perform at SXSW in March. Good times ahead indeed!
OMG, you’ve met Skewby? Such a great artist, very rare to come across a talented lyricist these days.

Yea, he’s a sweetheart. Whenever I see him out, he always greets with a hug and smile and asks how you are. He’s super good people and has an amazing team behind him!
