Maybelline’s Dream Bouncy Blush ($6) is a fun new product to try for those that don’t wear a lot of makeup, are just starting to wear makeup, or just want a sheer wash of color on their cheeks. The powder-gel formula (it’s creamy, but has a soft, powdery finish) is buildable and melts seamlessly into the skin, giving you healthy looking, slightly flushed cheeks that make you look like you just finished a run (but aren’t all sweaty or disheveled). The unique texture of the blush is so, well, bouncy, that you will find yourself constantly pressing it down once you open it! Some of the colors are a bit more pigmented than others – I bought Peach Satin thinking that the color was going to be much richer than what it is on my skin because it’s so bright- so my advice is this: the darker your skin is, the stronger the color should be to ensure that it shows up on your skin. It comes in 10 shades (the next one I want to try is Hot Tamale) so play around! TIP:With this blush, application is best done with fingers.
