Last week I tested out Wet N Wild’s Mega Last Nail Color ($1.99), their new line of polishes. Touted as a salon grade nail color, the new formula has a ManiCurve Pro Brush (it’s flat instead of rounded for a more even coat), a long-lasting opaque finish, and provides 5 days of chip resistant wear.
Did it make the grade?
YES!
Due to manicures only lasting 2-3 days on my nails unless I’m wearing acrylics, I tended to skip polishing them with anything other than clear because I hate the chipping. No matter the brand, it would chip really quickly and I’d feel like I wasted my money. However, playing around with polish is the easiest way to add color to your look so I decided to just bite the bullet and succumb to the frequent polish changes that would inevitably come. With all of the new colors and products that come out and because I love color on my toes in the Spring, I wanted to join in on the fun with my hands as well.
Out of ALL of the brands that I have tried (including Essie, O.P.I., Rimmel, Sally Hansen), Wet N Wild’s new formula lasted the longest. Like the advertising states, I went 5 days chip free-with no base OR top coat mind you. I was pleasantly surprised – and I have since gone out to get the rest of the collection as well.
There are so many pretty colors in this collection and for the price per bottle, it’s really a steal!
TIP:
The formula is relatively thick so apply two thin coats to ensure an even, opaque finish.
