Last Sunday, Crazy Beautiful held their inaugural “Local Love Sunday” event. On the last Sunday of every month, a new artist/designer from Memphis will be on hand for patrons to meet and shop with. They kicked off the event with Ashley Cartwright of Hustle & Sew.
I spoke with the store owner, Eryka Smith, regarding the launch of the event, and this was their way to give shoppers access to local brands that they may not be familiar with, and give the designers themselves an opportunity to mingle with new and loyal clients as well.
Crazy Beautiful has been voted Memphis’#1 Local Boutique in the Memphis Flyer since 2008 by the Memphis Flyer, but this would be my first time visiting, so I made sure to bring my camera with me and snap away.
Eryka and her staff were SO nice and fun to talk to. Each girl has her own distinct style, which works well since Crazy Beautiful caters to a wide range of clientele. Whether you’re into the 50’s pin-up look or the poster girl for the new-wave boho look, you’re bound to find something to wear (the price points aren’t bad either).

Brands that they carry include OBEY, BB Dakota, Hell Bunny, Unif, and Big Star. But be warned: while they are not a fast fashion boutique, they move fashion fast so pieces sell out pretty quickly!
