In February, NARS released their Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer ($42), a new formula designed to provide a sheer base, but also give SPF (30) coverage and helps reduce skin discoloration in a few weeks. I finally received my free sample via their Facebook page a few weeks ago and this just may be my new go-to product. It’s infused with botanicals and mineral rich sea water, so skin is hydrated and feels like velvet once it’s applied. The coverage IS sheer, but the color I tried (Malaga) matched my skin so perfectly~with a slight glow~but if I needed extra coverage in a few spots, I was able to do so without it feeling heavy. Your skin is able to breathe and looks fresh & vibrant. Although it’s labeled a tinted moisturizer, IMO it’s closer to a BB Cream which is wonderful especially in the Summer, when it’s hot and humid and you really don’t want anything on your face but need to look a little more polished. Also, it comes in nine (9!) shades, a great range for TMs (I hate fair/light/medium labeling bc it hardly ever matches anyone), so it makes it easier to select a color that works for you. This is DEFINITELY worth the price. TIP: Use a brush when applying. With most foundations, balms, tinted moisturizers, etc., a little goes a long way. Using a brush will help you keep coverage sheer and make your product last a little longer. Top with a bit of bronzer or blush, mascara, and gloss and you’re good to go!
