We are literally in the countdown for the beginning of Fall (can you smell the crispness in the air??) but for some, these last few days signify last minute warm travels. For some it’s a surprise trip to Disney with the kids ( a customer at work actually told me this earlier this week), or one last trip to the beach for a dip in the ocean.
Either way, you want to maximize both your wardrobe and your trip itinerary. My friend Wendy Marie is a frequent traveler (you never know where she may be) so I visited her before an extended trip (over a week) and she let me put together a few looks using only what was in her suitcase).
LOOK 1
Classic pieces that every girl has: skinny denim, striped shirt, cute sandals, and a statement bag.
LOOK 2
Switch out the shoes and jeans for shorts and wedges. Add a scarf to tie it all together.
LOOK 3 (Morning)
Color will ALWAYS be fun. Patterned shorts and a chunky necklace keep a go-to look from being basic.
LOOK 4 (Afternoon)
A loose racer tank and cotton stretch skirt travel well. Roll them up and shake ’em out when ready to wear!
LOOK 5 (Night)
Time to colorblock. Switch out the tank for a loose blouse, and pair with geometric textured heels.
LOOK 6: Saturday Night Lights
Continue with the colorblocking trend with a cute, short cocktail dress. Perfect for drinks, dinner, and dancing!
LOOK 7
Sunday Funday. Who doesn’t love a maxi dress for brunch?
I had a blast with Wendy; she knows where to splurge, where to save, and always has a fun mix of pieces in her closet. Thanks for letting me put looks together! There are a few more pics on our Facebook Page.
