From nail colors to lip colors, and colored denim, boots, and bags it’s easy to pick your poison with this season’s hottest hue, Oxblood. Bright, florescent neon hues ruled the summer and as we plunge deeper into fall, Oxblood tones things down in a classic, yet vampy way. While not the most stylish of terms, Oxblood is synonymous with a beautiful, saturated shade of red usually known as burgundy, wine, crimson, or cranberry.
Pinned by Nina Garcia, as “The New Black,” there’s no shortage in the ways in which you can incorporate this rich shade into your sartorial taste. Pair wine colored trousers with a collared cream top, and black wedged heels. Need a bit of pop? Add a leopard print bag for a balanced blend of chic. Opt for a crimson bag to compliment a neutral outfit with a subtle hint of color. If you’re feeling especially bold, attempt the look from head to toe. If done properly, this monochromatic look will be sure to turn heads.

A cozy knit sweater paired with Oxblood pants keeps things relaxed but refined, a great combination for lunch with friends or daytime errands.
A sultrier look is achieved by pairing a leather jacket and a bold burgundy dress with heels; a look great for nighttime festivities with friends or your significant other.
