A few weeks back I found myself in need of some new brushes, so I decided to pick up Coastal Scents 12 Piece Brush Set. Many of the beauty youtubers I watch have used this brand at some point so I figured I’d give them a try. Extremely affordable (less than $20), the set includes : Classic Blush Large (Natural), Classic Blush Angle Small (Natural), Classic Foundation Small (Synthetic), Classic Shadow Medium (Synthetic), Classic Blender Doefoot (Synthetic), Classic Blender Pointed (Natural), Classic Concealer Small (Synthetic), Classic Detail Round (Synthetic), Classic Detail Pointed (Synthetic), Classic Liner Angle Small (Synthetic), Classic Angled Liner (Synthetic), Classic Lash Brow Comb). I absolutely LOVE these brushes! They are great for every day use, and prior to them making a move to my makeup bag, I used them on a blog projects (which means I need to order another set for the studio). A quality brush truly makes a difference in your application technique, and how your final look will be. For the price of the brushes, I was a little amazed at how well they picked up and blended product; they’re a mix of natural and synthetic bristles, and while they’re soft, they’re stiff, so I didn’t have to press down hard when applying my makeup. Blushes that I previously thought were hard to blend glided effortlessly on my cheeks with the brush from this set. If you’re just starting to experiment with makeup or if you’re wanting to learn more professional application techniques, I definitely recommend these for your starter kit- they come in their own little leather case too!
