Tuesday night I attended Madewell Saddle Creek’s grand opening and I had such a blast! Nashville Blogger & Stylist Elise Joseph of Pennyweight co-hosted the event, which not only celebrated the highly anticipated arrival of J. Crew’s sister-store, but also served as an impromptu meetup for local fashion bloggers as well! Elise also curated a collection of her favorite pieces from the collection “Pennyweight Picks”: The design of the store is beautiful, and I saw so many cute pieces: I saw Laura of Walking in Memphis in High Heels. Laura actually shops with me at BR from time to time but I hadn’t seen her in ages. I was so shocked (and delighted!) to learn that she was a fellow blogger! She always looks cute, so if you love OOTD posts and tips on fitness, definitely check out her blog. I also met Christina of The Quarterlife Closet & Lauren of Sunshades & Snowflakes. Sweet gorgeous girls (MUST get my hands on their lipstick, NARS Schiap), it was so refreshing having “fashion blogger talk” with people who ‘Get It” lol. Both of their blogs are fun (fashion & lifestyle) so check theirs out as well! I got to chat with Augusta Campbell, a Stylist & the Fashion Editor of Memphis Magazine (she also blogs the Style Watch section). I met Augusta at this year’s MFW & I am so happy that I did. She is such a wonderful, down-to-earth woman, and I’ve learned a great deal from her in such a short time. I got a chance to talk with Elise about creating a career out of blogging, styling and consulting and it was truly inspiring. She has a few things in the works so definitely keep an eye out! (And no your eyes aren’t deceiving you: those “polka dots” on my Loft dress are actually cute kittens! Cardigan & wedges: Banana Republic. Locket, Old Navy. Belt, vintage).
