But upon my graduation from Ole Miss Law School I am moving back to Florida. Month/Year Blog Launched: March 2013 How did you get into blogging? The Quarter Life Closet was born out of my love of fashion and my ongoing quarter life crisis (part of the inspiration for the name). While in Law School, I needed creative outlet and starting a blog was just the ticket. My blog also serves as my personal style portfolio. What has been the best thing about it? Hardest? The best thing about blogging is having my own space to express my creativity, and share the styling ideas that are always floating around in my head. Also I love reading the comments and feeling as though in a small way I am inspiring others. The hardest part: time. Between school and finding friends to help with pictures; timing can be tricky. What do you do when you aren’t working on your blog? When I am not working on my blog: I am still in school, so aside from studying… I love to online shop, drink coffee, watch old T.V. (mainly The Golden Girls), and eat… I love food, and spend time with family and friends. Dream Job: Fashion Editor at InStyle Magazine. Which trend(s) were you most excited to try this season? crop tops, midi skirts, anything and everything high waisted, and soft pastels from head to toe. Fashion on Film: Which movies inspire you? Is it too cliche for me to say ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ ? I am so obsessed with all of those scenes where she is walking to and from work… obviously post makeover. Three magazines that you MUST read monthly: InStyle, Lucky, and Elle Three items in your makeup bag: Stila Stay All Day Liquid Eyeliner, NARS Bronzer in Laguna, and SmashBox Highlighter in Pearl. I love makeup, but my real essentials are my skincare products…I love the Soy Face Cleanser by Fresh and Image Skincare Serums. Favorite color of lipstick/lipgloss: Nars Heat Wave Favorite color of nail polish: Funny Bunny by OPI (I usually get the gel version) Words of Style Wisdom: Things do not have to match, they have to go. It is cliche, but it is so true. My favorite outfits are always the ones that feel unexpected and different. (i.e. mixing prints, mixing metals, and pairing navy with black). The most important question of all: cookies, cupcakes, or ice cream? Cupcakes by a landslide. Every time I visit my boyfriend in Washington D.C. I make him take me to Georgetown Cupcake.
