I always have so much fun attending runway shows as both a spectator and a stylist because it’s an opportunity to get a different perspective on seasonal trends with both fashion and beauty. Not only does it open you up to potential designers to work with, but seeing that I’m a bit of a beauty magpie, I also get excited when I can learn about products that I may not have tested yet.
Enter the freeze models on Day 2.
They wore bright hues in floral prints (shorts, blazers, and blouses), with bronzy skin, a cateye, and my favorite: a bright coral lip.
I reached out to Meosha Williams, the Lead MUA (+ MUA at Bobbi Brown Cosmetics in Macy’s at Oak Court) to find out what products they used. While most of the products were provided by Heather Cosmetics, the sponsor for MFW, the bold lips were courtesy of Bobbi Brown.
The color used on the models was Atomic Orange (discontinued) but a great dupe is their Matte Cream Lip Color in Valencia Orange.
I’m such a sucker for this classic look. It’s a nice play on the red/hot pink lipcolor + winged liner trend for Spring, but IMO, a little more wearable for all skin tones. Keep the skin relatively clean with a little bit of bronzer and loads of mascara and you can pull this off on any occasion.
Do you experiment with coral lips? What’s your fave for Spring? Comment below!
