Being that I’m a bit of a concealer junkie (I have a small drawer full, eek!), I’m always randomly buying one to test out. I’ve wanted to try Josie Maran’s line for awhile, but it took a minute for me to pick up one of her products. I know all about the benefits of Argan Oil (don’t shy away from oil, keeps the skin hydrated!), so I picked up a Josie Maran Argan Creamy Concealer Crayon ($20) in Medium 1 to see how it worked. This concealer is unbelievably creamy. Like seriously creamy. It glides on like butter, and it’s a thicker consistency, so it’s buildable without being cakey. Thick concealers tend to be kinda dry (so that they hide more), but this one, again, is so creamy, so my undereye area looks hydrated + supple. It also covers small blemishes, and because it has a built-in sharpener, you will always get precise application. While the shade range isn’t extensive (there are only 6), this is a great concealer to highlight + contour with, especially for women of color. They’re a little more yellow based, so you won’t look ashy if you have warm undertones. My dark circles are hereditary so on days when I’m extremely tired or stayed up way too late, I couldn’t use this alone (I would really have to pack it on), but if yours aren’t bad, once you set with powder you should be fine!
