Last week Andrea hosted Style Talk, a semi-networking event at The South Main Book Juggler, a new bookstore located downtown on S. Main. Held during Trolley Night, guests were able to come in, enjoy some drinks + libations, and spend a little time talking about fashion.
As one of the sponsors, I was on-hand to talk to people about the joys (and hard work!) that comes with blogging. I love blogging and the platform it provides me for self (and style) expression, and I’m thankful for the opportunities its afforded me as well. Because I cover fashion, beauty, and lifestyle, I get to meet so many interesting people, and this night was not a disappointment.
Anywhoo, I had so much fun talking with people and talking pictures, but I have to say, I was really enamored with Ava Loren Design‘s tablescape for the event. It was colorful and stylish yet irreverent, just like Andrea; I loved that they collaborated to make it more than just another cheese, fruit, and wine spread. It gave me so much inspiration on how to add a really personal touch whenever you have an event or just host a few friends at home.
Seriously, how cute are these for the kabobs?
Definitely going to use this trick whenever I have a picnic or BBQ.
And you know I had to get in some city style:
Andrea and Kamesha (Ava Loren Design)
This color combo was everything! Andreas made her peplum cardigan
and the ruffled dress that she wore.
Quaneshia from According to Q (I’m obsessed with her sequined skirt!)
I’d been up since 5 a.m. so cute and comfy was the goal. This maxi-dress from Forever21 was SO comfy, and easy to wear under my fave Banana Republic Cardigan. Necklace is from Forever 21 as well.
Sponsors: Kamesha, Me, Andrea, and Whitney (Henri Creative, a Web Design Firm)
We had a lot of fun that night, and new connections were made (expect a few brand profiles so you guys can see more of the talent my city offers). We definitely plan on doing more so stay tuned!
