I love when I stumble upon skincare products that are both effective and budget friendly. For the last few weeks I have been using the Formula 10.0.6 Best Face Forward Daily Foaming Cleanser ($5.99) + the So Totally Clean Deep Pore Cleanser ($5.99) and am in love! I’m a sucker for clean, pretty packaging, so I’d been eyeballing their products in Ulta for awhile, but I wanted to finish some of the other products I was testing before I purchased them.
I have thick, combination skin, and on occasion, the issues I have flip; right now I’m dealing with a dry nose but oily cheeks and a random dry patch so I’ve been both exfoliating and hydrating a lot to try and balance it back out. I also had a sun rash from beach (the horror!) that left a small hyper-pigmentation spot on my cheek, but I started using these products right after the trip and can definitely see a difference in my skin, both with texture and tone.
The Daily Foaming Cleanser has both passionfruit (reduces oil) + green tea (gentle exfoliator), so my skin is clean, but because it’s a gel cleanser, it isn’t stripped of all of it’s oils or dried out. The Deep Pore Cleanser is both a cleanser and toner, so it grabs anything that my first cleanser may have missed and then rebalances my skin so again, my skin isn’t dried out; it just makes it feel refreshed. I then apply a moisterizer, sunscreen, and/or a brightener and then voila! I’m done.
TIP: I use this system in the a.m. with a Clarisonic and man oh man it makes every bit of difference. I wear makeup almost every day, so I have to have a little more help with getting everything off. I sometimes use exfoliating pads, or I’ll switch it up a charcoal exfoliating mask after the cleanser and my skin is so much softer, smoother and clearer because of it.
Just about everything in their product line is $5.99 so it’s very affordable. It’s available in Ulta (and you can use a coupon!) but if you don’t have one near you or would rather buy directly from their site, click here.
