It’s the beginning of a new style era at Banana Republic. As the brand relaunches with a bolder, street-wise aesthetic overseen by Marissa Webb, the new Creative Director, we’re slowly seeing a shift in how it defines “hi-low style”. Keeping your silhoutte clean while playing with texture, prints, and lengths is what Fall fashion was made for; I’ve styled 3 looks with some of my must-have picks!
Black Drapey Pant
Seriously one of the most comfortable pair of pants that you can own. Similar to joggers, this works well with a lightweight tee or blouse, but will be equally impactful with a slinky shell, blazer + booties.
Floral Burnout Top
The tonal pattern makes it a standout piece on its own, but on casual days where all you have to do is run errands, pair this top with skinny denim, flats, and a cardie.
Kelsey Pump + Harper Satchel
No wardrobe is complete without a pair of nude heels, and a top handle satchel is perfect for holding all of your necessities while still being stylish enough for the weekends).
Faux Leather Trim Dress
An LBD is a necessity, and one that can do double duty for work and play is a gem. The faux leather details are nice, modern accents to an otherwise classic piece.
Fitted Non-Iron Striped Shirt
Your alternative to a white shirt, the striped button-down is an essential layering piece: it can be worn under sweaters, dresses, and blazers, so if you want to experiment with a print, this is easy. This can bring new life to all those colorful sweaters you have tucked away in the bottom of your closet.
Moonlight Statement Necklace
Total conversation starter. It’s sophisticated enough that it can be worn with cocktail attire, but it’s not so over the top that you can’t pair it with a cotton tee and jeans.
Superga 2750 Cotu Classic Sneakers
The ultimate weekend kicks. The cool thing about these shoes are that you can keep it classic with denim, but they will also pair well with leather leggings, short skirts, and knit dresses.
Drapey Utility Shirt
A silk blouse is a must-have year round, but the olive color makes it a Fall staple. If you typically stick with neutrals, this is a small way to add color, and you can also play with texture. From leather to boucle, the silky fabric works with just about everything.
Boucle Side Zip Skirt
Who doesn’t love an exposed zipper? Again, a classic silhoutte with modern touches. Wear this skirt to work, to dinner parties, even to holiday gathers. Boots, heels, and flats, will all work. It also comes in black!
Quilted Field Jacket
Men have their letterman jacket, women have a quilted field jacket. Another key layering piece, you can rock this with striped tees and soft sweaters in complimentary colors (navy, oxblood, rust, and cream) for a more sportier look.
Tilia Bootie
Another item that does double duty, an ankle bootie brings a little edge to an otherwise tame outfit, but on days when it’s too cold to wear bare legs, they can be worn with pants as well. A deep caramel color pairs well with neutrals, but it can also help ground jewel tones and bright patterns w/o being too harsh.
In addition to the standout pieces listed above, long layering necklace and other gold accessories and smart totes in buttery fabrics should be on your shopping list as well. While not every item can be worn everywhere, you’d be surprised what works well together when you take a little time out to mix and match your wardrobe.

Love the outfits. I love Banana republic and with Marisa Webb now on board, they have upped their style. Love, love. Love the tilia booties. I have 6.5 and 7 on order as I am sometimes between sizes. Do they fit true to size or do they run 1/2 size too big? Thanks!

Thank you! I really like the direction the brand is going in and I can’t wait to see the Spring collection in stores.
The booties have been running a little big for some people.
