I am a huge proponent of using Vitamin C in your skincare (it’s a natural way to help brighten skin, get rid of dark spots, etc), so when I received the Exuviance Illumination Duo from Brandbacker to review I was elated. Included in the package was the the Evening Restorative Complex and the Vitamin C Antiaging Booster. The Evening Restorative Complex is a heavy duty moisturizer designed to decreases lines and wrinkles, evens skin tone and improves roughness and texture, and enhance clarity. It has a clean botanical smell, and though it is thicker than a lotion, it’s not too rich, so it absorbs easily into the skin and leaves it feeling supple and hydrated. The Vitamin C Antiaging Booster is actually a powder that you mix in with your moisturizer at night. It’s designed to help fade the appearance of unwanted dark spots, and strengthen skin’s defenses against future discoloration and signs of aging. It’s a 100% pure active formulation, which means it doesn’t contain any water or fillers, so a little will go a long way. It comes with a little scoop and a top shaker so you can mix it into your moisturizer 2 ways. To apply, you pump a small amount of the Evening Restorative Complex into the palm of your hand and then mix in a few shakes, or up to 1/2 scoop of Vitamin C+ Antiaging Booster. Because it’s very concentrated, you don’t want to do more than 5 shakes or 1/2 scoop (it was easier to me to measure with the scooper). For best results, apply this combination at night so that skin can fully absorb all of the product. It’s best to allow at least 30 days to fully test skincare products. I’ve been using this for a few weeks and from the moment I tried it, I loved it. My skin didn’t have any irritation, and I can see improvement in the few dark spots that I have. The Evening Restorative Complex is just a flat out good moisturizer. Skin looks dewy, not oily and feels very soft. Now that Fall is here and the temperature is starting to drop, I will need a heavier moisturizer to combat dryness and this will work. To learn more about the product and brands, click here.
