Get The Look | Gwen Stefani "Baby Don't Lie" Video | KP FUSION
After years + years of waiting, Gwen Stefani has FINALLY dropped some new solo music. Check out her new video for her single “Baby Don’t Lie” (directed by Sophie Muller and Weirdcore), + then read tips on how you can recreate her look! I ADORE Stefani’s style. She’s always been able to pull off print on print, and her pairing polkadots together with her signature red lips is perfection. The look is classic, but still modern and fresh because of the fit. Here’s what you need to recreate it: A polka-dot sweater. Go for one that skims the body but isn’t tight. Hers is paired over a white button-down shirt, but you can skip if it’s too prep for you. The sweater is the real star of the show. Black + White polka-dot pants. She’s wearing a slim cut trouser, so you can try it two ways: a harem pant (to give you a little flexibility around the thigh area) or a skinny legging. You can also opt for a skinny denim if that’s too dressy for you. Patent leather stilettos. Now, the jury is still out on if she’s wearing hot pink or red (I can’t find the official wardrobe deets), but I’m gonna go with hot pink. She’s interchanged hot pink and red with black + white over the years so either one is safe. Black spike earrings + stackable rings will complete the look. Extra Beauty wise, a cateye and red lips are a must. Gwen wears L’Oréal Infallible® Le Rouge in Ravishing Red (a long-lasting matte finish) but you want to choose a red that goes with your undertones (blue-based for cools, yellow based for warms). I personally love M.A.C.’s Ruby Woo, which looks good on just about everyone, but test them out to find your fave (E.L.F. even has a $3 one that is gorgeous). I like the single. It has hints of No Doubt to it but it’s still airy + pop like Gwen’s other music. It’s been 6 years since she released a solo project so I’m super happy that she’s working on her 3rd.
