When most people think about decorating with neutrals, they typically go for browns + beiges, with the occasional black + white scheme. Over the last few years, however, gray has become quite popular as an alternative. It’s not as harsh as black, but it’s a little richer than stark white.
With paint, the key is finish (flat, never gloss), trim (go for creamy) and lighting source (to help balance out the shadows). When selecting a color palette, you can treat it like you would if creating an outfit: it pairs well with creams, jewel tones, pastels, metallics, and even prints. It can be the whole shabbang or just an accent color.

It IS, isn’t it? That may be why I’ve been obsessed with the color for so long.
