I have combination skin that does role reversal depending on the weather. When it’s warm, my T-Zone can get a little slick, but cooler weather means that I have to use a richer, more hydrating moisturizer to keep my skin from flaking.
The Olay Regenerist Luminous Tone Perfecting Cream ($25.99) was created to help fade the appearance of dark spots and brighten your skin-tone, and while I love the pearlescent glow my skin appears to now have, I’m actually more sold on the hydrating benefits. This is hands-down one of the best moisturizers I have ever used, especially during cooler weather. The formula contains vitamin E + green tea, and is thick; skin will soak it up like an oil, but it’s not heavy at all. Your face feels soft but not greasy, and you can even wear it in addition to a serum and it won’t feel like your pores will clog.
It’s also one of the few heavy duty moisturizers I can wear under a primer that won’t make it slide around. The price is a little higher than what I would normally pay for a drugstore moisturizer, but it’s seriously good. If this was ever made into a body lotion I would purchase it in a heartbeat because it’s so moisturizing, and it does even skin and help with dullness. Clear, healthy-looking skin is a must, especially once you enter your 30s.
Have you tried this? What’s your favorite moisturizer to use?
