After months of not working together bc of our busy schedules, Andrea and I were finally able to pencil in a photography session to shoot a sort of “pre” lookbook for her upcoming bridal dress collection. Inspired by Solange’s Humberto Leon for Kenzo wedding dress, Andrea created a sweet coral cape dress, an “interpolation” of sorts that has the feels of the regalness achieved by Solo’s evening dress, but in a slightly more casual yet equally modern fit that can be worn for an engagement party, bridal brunch, or heck, just because.
It was cold an dreary out, but overcast days actually make for the best outdoor shots because the clouds act as a natural light diffuser; they helped add a slightly dreamy effect to the images, which went perfectly with the location (the Brooks Museum).
During the session we talked about some of her ideas for her other pieces of the collection, fabrics, colorways, and what’s been inspiring her overall lately. She goes into detail a little more in her post here, so hop over to her blog to see a few more photos from our session.
Stay tuned!
