This past weekend was wide open from events, so I was able to get in a few photography sessions around the city. When my friend Catherine tweeted “what shall I do today?” I immediately responded “meet me in something fly so that I can snap a few pictures of you.”, lol. She obliged, and after I finished my creative space shoot with Dilettante Collection, I literally drove half a block and met up with her. As I was crossing the street to meet her, I noticed this beautiful mural of ballerinas on the side of a building, and given that she’s a dancer (she’s also a writer and has a blog, She Scrapes the Sky), I knew we HAD to shoot over there.
Catherine has such a sweet spirit (in addition to a gorgeous face that I’m slightly obsessed with, lol), and it’s always fun catching up with her; she’s at the beginning stages of developing her career, so we talked about life, balancing passions with work, and what we can do to help us figure this crazy thing out.
It was cloudy, rainy and the day just felt “moody”. It totally fit the vibe I was going for.
