His. Hers. Home. That’s the focus of Stock&Belle, a new lifestyle venture that recently opened at 387 S. Main Street. Owners Eryka Smith + Chad West (whom I adore-they also own sister stores Crazy Beautiful + Red Velvet Vintage) took their pop-up shop idea and flipped it on its head with their new retail space.
Built in 1928, the building was vacant for over 20 years until they hosted a pop-up shop for Crazy Beautiful last year to “test the waters” before opening a fully conceptualized store. S. Main has seen major growth over the last 5 years with restaurants, art galleries, and a few boutiques, so during their pop-up shop, they did market research to determine the area’s demographic (and their needs) and during last month’s Trolley Night, they celebrated their soft opening in the newly renovated space that offers contemporary men’s and women’s clothing, local art & furniture, and other lifestyle goods.
Aside from the spiral staircase (which is a major attraction + leads up to Salon 387), the space was completed gutted and is absolutely gorgeous. I like how spacious it is, and while the overall design aesthetic is decidedly more masculine (clean lines, floor to ceiling windows, dark walls, exposed brick and metal piping), there’s still an underlying feminine touch with the accents (lighting, flowers, and other decor elements), so it still feels warm and inviting.
Basically, not only is it a cool space to shop, but you’ll want to just hang out to read magazines and listen to music as well (they always have a good playlist going).
Everything in Stock&Belle is for sale (I want that purple couch!) and soon they will be opening a general store as well. They will also have fresh flower bouquets for sale via Haute Horticulture, so it’s truly a must stop + shop place whenever you head downtown!
