Mother’s Day is this upcoming Sunday, and if you haven’t gotten her a gift yet, um, what are you waiting for??? Here are a few simple (but sweet!) gift ideas if you’ve found yourself in a creative and gift idea rut.
Homemade Card + Brunch in Bed
Absolutely nothing beats a card with your personal sentiments written in it. Pick up a blank card and write out your thoughts (sappy, funny, doesn’t matter-just make it really personal) OR go to Michael’s and pick up supplies to craft it out. Cook her a yummy breakfast (here’s a recipe that seems fancy but is super easy to make) and enjoy a relaxing morning together.
Pamper Basket
Almost all women love a little quiet time in the bath. Make that time more special for her by putting together a mini-spa basket filled with goodies that she (and ONLY she) can use. Pick up a fluffy white towel or robe, bath supplies (bath crystals, creamy lotion, soap, and bubble bath), a clay mask + exfoliator, mani/pedi tools, and a candle in citrus, lavender, or eucalyptus scent for a treat that will help rejuvenate her when she needs it.
Favorite Books + Coffee Mug
If she loves to read (or collect), swing by Barnes & Nobles or your local bookstore and pick up a few tombs in her favorite genre. If you have a general idea of what she likes but aren’t sure what to get, just ask them what the most popular new releases are within that group. Pick up 1-2, a bookmark, and a new mug that she can enjoy during her “me” time.
Jewelry
Banana Republic XO Bangle, $45
When all else fails, grab some jewelry. Skip over trendy pieces (unless you really, really know that that’s her jam) and go with something pretty + timeless, and can easily be mixed in with what she already has.
The point of Mother’s Day is to celebrate the special Mother’s in your life and to also gift them with something that they will love. Remember, it doesn’t have to be expensive, only thoughtful!
