J. Crew released their August 2015 Style Guide for pre-order yesterday and…I pretty much want everything. No, seriously. This collection reminds me of the J. Crew that I use to love: classic, clean lines in pretty colors and simple silhouettes. It’s filled with elevated wardrobe staples-there’s a satin pull-on pant and rust colored micro pleat skirt that I waaaaant-so it seems much more easier to mix and match with what you already have. There’s a good balance of work and weekend attire as well, so while you can find some funky pieces to play around with (like a jeweled bib tank and drapey cargo shorts), you won’t be stuck with pieces that you can only wear through one season.
The actual styling of the guide is giving me so many ideas on looks to try as well (which is even more important to me than the actual clothes themselves. I may not be able to afford everything, but at least I have some ideas on what I need in order to recreate a look/trend).
Some of my faves:
You can see the full style guide (including Men’s + Kids) on their latest Pinterest Board. Pre-ordering is available, with the collection open to everyone July 21st on www.jcrew.com.
