Exploring lifestyle photography over the last year has been so much fun. This blog allows me to creatively share the many different people + things that I come across daily, and being hired to capture special moments in people’s lives has been like icing on a cake.
I first met Kim in January for a blogger session with her + her creative partner Natasha as they were relaunching their boutique event styling firm and needed a few style photos for their blog; it has since morphed into an ongoing working relationship and budding friendship. Kim has such a sweet, infectious spirit, so when she wanted to hire me to photograph her baby showers, I initially hesitated because it was totally out of my element (portraits/bloggers/small biz lookbooks are my chosen subjects) but I said hey, why not give it a shot? She’s fun to be around, and so where her friends + family so both showers were breeze. The photos turned out great and recently, we shot her nursery as well.
With this being her first child (a boy, nicknamed TP3 after his dad), she kept the nursery simple and stylishly classic with cool blues + creams.
I loved the built in cabinetry and how much sunlight the room gets. It also overlooks their backyard near their pool with a waterfall, so just image how serene that will be when she’s rocking him to sleep.
We also took a few other maternity shots of her + hubby in and around their home during the session.
She is still in the process of decorating their new home, and I look forward to our plans to shoot it. Kim has impeccable taste, and just seeing some of the small things that she’s ordered so far for the study and other areas let’s me know it’s going to be totally pinnable, lol.
Thanks for letting me be a part of your family’s memories, Kim!

I absolutely love what you did with the nursery – the colours are gorgeous and so complimentary, I am sure he will be very comfortable in his new space! xx
