Eating healthy on the go can be hard, but not impossible. On those good days when I’ve planned out + prepared my meals I’m fine, but on those others when I’ve had a late start, it’s nice to know there are a few places where I can grab something that sticks with that plan instead of relying on fast food (which can be a guilty pleasure treat, but not a diet mainstay).
I Love Juice Bar opened in Midtown last September, but I didn’t make my way in until a few weeks ago. They’re all about fresh using fresh, local ingredients and offer freshly made 100% juices, smoothies, salads and other vegetarian goodies.
I popped in on two occasions: once for their vegetarian spring rolls (w/some of the best peanut sauce I’ve ever had)
and then again a few days later for one of their smoothies (Very Strawberry (strawberry, banana, apple).
I usually don’t like bananas in my smoothies but you couldn’t taste it in this was. It was sweet, really creamy, and you could just feel the nutrients flow through your body, lol). Both items were around $6 and filling, which I’d rather have and know that I’m putting something good in my body while still killing that hunger craving.
I work in Midtown a few days a week, so on those days I don’t bring my lunch, I know where I’m headed. You can see their full menu here. They’re located at 553 S. Cooper Street + open from 7a-7p Monday – Saturday. Family-owned and growing, they have locations in Nashville, Atlanta, Knoxville, and a few other places as well.

I love them! Pretty sure I’m addicted to the sweet greens juice and the pineapple juice shot. I can’t think of the exact name of that shot, but it’s so good when you’re feeling under the weather.
