Last Saturday I hosted Wolfchase Galleria’s Back to School Lounge and as usual, I had soooo much fun!
It was Tax-Free Weekend in Tennessee, so the mall was packed with back to school shoppers (City Schools start next week). If you were in the mall during that time, you could stop by center court to grab a mocktail or two from Memphis Bar Ties, enjoy samples from JCP’s Sephora, fashion shows featuring pre-fall trends from retailers, and play a few games to win a Simon Mall Gift Card. DJ Super Brad was spinning throughout the event and he played a really good mix of new songs + classics so I have to give him props as well!
I only want to drink from bendy straws from now on, lol. Kids LOVED these!
Autism Resources of the Mid-South (ARMS), the leading voice and resource of the autism community in education, advocacy, and support, also had an informational booth + sensory lounge set up for kids as well. I chatted with one of the volunteers for awhile who was there with her son and I was completely blown away by his progress. He has Asperger’s but works full-time (and was recently promoted!), drives, and socializes like any other 20 yr old. She said the reason she still volunteers now is because she knows how the right support and behavioral therapy can help people with Autism, so her son’s achievements keep her inspired.
Wolfchase will actually be hosting the Striding for Autism Fun Run & Festival on Saturday, September 24th in support of ARMS if you’re interested in supporting the organization. Click here to learn more about what they do. They have a ton of other fun fundraising events throughout the year as well.
The fashion segments featured clothing from Gap/Gap Kids, JC Penney, Yellow Lovebirds and Love Culture, and I think the last 2 were my fave. I wanted all of the looks from Love Culture (above photo), and the floral dresses from Yellow Lovebirds were right up my alley.
And how cute was the wide-leg pants romper I found from H&M??? I never would’ve thought that I’d become a romper girl but so far I’ve invested in 3 (three!) this summer + I want more. They’re seriously comfy, and I felt so put together without any stress. I was cute that day honey, lol.
Anyhoo, I had a ball Saturday and I can’t wait to work with Wolfchase again. They have the coolest marketing + events team, and I’m so thankful anytime I can work with them!
