A black smokey eye is a classic, easy shadow go-to, but I like to experiment with color when it starts to get cool. Mally Beauty reformulated their Evercolor Shadow Stick Extra($25) to make them a little more hydrating + anti-aging, and I’ve been having some fun with my look.
I prefer my shadow looks to be softer + more diffused, and these shadow sticks are perfect for that. You can do 1-2 swipes for a light wash of color, or build up the layers for more intensity. I’m wearing a combination of Storm + Marina, and popped Over the Taupe in the inner corner. I applied them straight from the tube, then diffuse a bit with a brush. I then used a darker shade from a contour palette on my crease to act as a transition color.
You only have 30 seconds to work (they try quickly + are smudge-proof), but if you’re like me and do your makeup on the go, you can use these to add a touch of drama to your everyday look without a ton of effort. I swatched these first on my hand then eyes and once it dries, it’s locked on. There are 10 different shades to choose from + retail for $25 each.
