Fun times were had at last Saturday’s Susan G. Komen Lounge at Wolfchase Galleria. While I’m still not quite used to hearing my voice on a mic, I do enjoy my hosting duties and always have a blast.
This time around it was super chill; reps from the Susan G. Komen Foundation were set up to chat/share information about the fight against breast cancer while Jst2guyz (Coltin + Patrick) performed.
Let me tell you, these guys sound amazing. In addition to performing original music, they also did a few covers (their rendition of “Walking in Memphis” is one of the best I’ve ever heard); at one point they took it straight back to the early 2000s with a Backstreet Boys medley and I had to remind myself that I was in public and couldn’t sing along at the top of lungs, lmao.
Memphis Bar Ties served mocktails, and you could also buy a $10 discount card for 15%-25% off at select retails good for the rest of October (they’re still available in their office +100% of the proceeds go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation).
Race for the Cure is October 29th so you could also sign up as well. Ms. Carolyn + Nikki were so sweet and fun to talk to; they were able to share information about breast cancer awareness with so many mall patrons, so the event was a success!
