One of the best things about working in a more creative environment is that I now get to experiment with the pieces I add to my wardrobe. I used to always get things that fell under the “classic with a twist” umbrella, but working with girls that dress a little more edgier than I do means I can be more playful. I’m not going to completely flip the style script, but I look at clothing a little differently now.
Suede Shawl + Earrings: Sugar Plum Consignments | Tank: Banana Republic (similar) | Leggings: JC Penney (similar) | Boots: Old Navy (similar) | Bracelet: H&M
When I went by Sugar Plum Consignments, in addition to the pieces I got and wore on my birthday, I also picked out this suede shawl with fringe detail ($60) + a pair of statement earrings ($6.99). I have some faux leather leggings + booties that I felt like would be perfect with it.
Because of the way the shawl is cut (and the fact that it’s in a neutral shade), I can put it with just about anything (I have some new denim flares that I need to get hemmed that will give me that boho vibe). Statement earrings are must-haves on days when you want to skip a necklace and other jewelry. It just made me want to twirl.

Thanks Sugar Plum!
