I can’t believe that we’re only 2 days away from Christmas yall! Normally I’m out scrambling for last minute gifts but I finished up my holiday shopping yesterday at Carriage Crossing. It was moreso windy vs being cold, so I was able to just throw on a faux leather bomber and scarf without freezing to death.
When I started back working in retail in 2008 ( I was doing contracting full-time at an insurance company + wanted some extra coins for Christmas), I worked at the Banana Republic that was in Carriage Crossing. It was my first time working in an outdoor mall, and it forever changed my approach to shopping. Being able to run in and out of a store without having to fight through a crowd made shopping so much easier, and now, you’ll rarely catch me in a traditional mall unless I’m going to specific stores. It really does make you more strategic with how you shop.
The look of victory when you’ve lucked up on some great gifts.
I did a little bit of damage, not only for my fam + friends but also myself. I firmly believe in the “one for you, one for me” shopping philosophy, lol! Now all I have to do is wrap everything. When I wrap gifts, I always have hot chocolate + binge watch Newlyweds: Nick + Jessica (don’t ask me why, that’s just what I do). Fun times!

I hope everyone has a Happy Holiday weekend! xo
