Lunch meetings downtown mean I get to grab a meal at a spot outside of my norm. We popped into South of Beale, and I almost ordered their regular SOB Burger but was persuaded to get the Black Bean version instead.
It was delicious. The patty was juicy and flavorful, and paired with white cheddar and a touch of their spicy mustard (has a hint of wasabi yum!) it was like a little party in my mouth. And don’t get me started on the fries. Hot and crisp with a sprinkling of salt-just like I like them.
Fair warning: it IS big enough to share/cut in half for leftovers, but it was so good I polished it off (and needed a nap afterwards. That didn’t happen so I spent the rest of the afternoon looking half awake, lol). Best thing? It was only $12! Eating local on budget!
