Now that the heat wave has passed here, I can break my denim out much more frequently. The other day I ran errands and then met up with a client for a quick shoot, but I didn’t want to just put on a regular tee with my jeans. As much as I love button down shirts, I don’t always have luck finding ones that fit how I like, but I lucked up on this cotton one from H+M in the Spring so it will be part of those “uniform” days.
It’s thinly woven, so it still maintains a little bit of structure but moves with you. The sleeves are pre-rolled (and slightly cropped), and it’s cut a little looser through the bust, so it doesn’t feel like you’re busting out when you button it all the way up!
Top: H+M | Denim: Lane Bryant | Scarf: Target | Crossbody: Crazy Beautiful | Cuff: J. Crew Factory | Loafers: Target
It was cool enough for a light scarf, so I did a little pattern mixing with this patchwork + floral print one. I got those smoking loafers w/a tassel at the end of Spring and couldn’t wait to wear them again-SO COMFY. Casual doesn’t have to mean slumpy, so I’m really trying to curate my wardrobe now so that even if I’m dressed down, I can switch an accessory or two out for dressier occasions and be on my way when necessary.
