What better way to spend your Saturday afternoon than with wine, shopping and friends? Saturday I attended Saddle Creek’s “Pour & Explore” Event. Benefiting the Make-A-Wish Mid-South, attendees were able to sample wine from all over the world at various retailers while enjoying live music, art, and more. Charvey Mac of Six String Lovers was the entertainment + he was amazing. He played acoustic covers of John Mayer, Bruno Mars and more and it was the perfect soundtrack for the evening.
I worked at that Banana Republic location for almost 6 years, so obviously, that was the first place that I stopped. While I waited for my friend + blogging buddy Mary (Living LeReve) to come, I shopped and found a cute little sweater in fuchsia (showed it in my Instastory) and a pleated patterned top. It’s was 40% off, so I got them for a steal!
Once Mary arrived, we walked around and stopped in American Threads then Janie and Jack so that she could look around for her cute little boy Myles, who was with us as well.
Once we found out there puppies there from Woof River Animal Rescue, we obviously had to go and see them too. I am a “cat person” but these puppies were so sweet + friendly. It’s so cute seeing toddlers interact with them.
There was also a live mural being done, plus a sketch artist was there as well. A trolley shuttled us back and forth (which was good because after running around 5 hours prior to it starting, my cute booties weren’t so comfy any more, lol).
We were so busy talking that I didn’t get to capture city style like I planned, but I ran into these 2 cute girls with amazing natural hair, and I loved Mary’s casual cool outfit that day.
I snagged a camo jacket from JC Penny’s the day before + a graffiti Micky Mouse tee from Forever 21 so I wore that with denim + booties. It finally felt like Fall!
This was a completely sold out event (they were turning people away!) so thank you so much to Saddle Creek for the invite; we truly enjoyed ourselves. If you missed out, you missed an awesome event, but they are planning to do it again because of the great response. Saddle Creek is also celebrating their 30th birthday, so they’ve lined up various events throughout the year. Be sure to check out their Facebook Page to keep up!

Soooo, apparently I missed you and didn’t get a chance to speak. I remember seeing her getting of the trolley with these golden locks of hair in the stroller. My family and I had a great time too.

You’re the 2nd person that I missed! There needs to be a bat signal or something to put out when we’re all at the same events, lol!
