I’ve been wanting a velvet midi skirt for a while, so when I stumbled upon this perfect one from Francesca’s a few weeks back, I got it in not one but TWO colors. I wasn’t quite sure how or where I was going to wear them, but some deals you just can’t pass up.
I had a lunch meeting to go to for a potential creative client (I’ll share more later), and because the meeting revolved around styling, I knew I wanted to wear something that was on trend and could also fit just about any setting.
I kept it simple with a long-sleeve black tee (it’s from H&M and I need them to make more in this style because I love how it fits) and mules that were close in color to the skirt and a long necklace from Chico’s. I had a shoot right after the meeting, so instead of my normal handbag, I used the tote we were gifted from Tanger Outlet during their August blogging event because it tonally matched my outfit, and was large enough to hold my everyday things and my main camera and lens.
I like versatile pieces like this because how you choose to accessorize them totally affects the style lane you go down. Black boots and maybe a thin cream sweater are an edgier option for when it’s cooler, but if I wanted to make it a little sportier, I can just add a denim jacket and Converse.
Unfortunately, the skirt is sold out online, but check in-store if you’re near one because I got them for an amazing deal. I got this champagne shade + a pale pink one. I realized a few weeks back that about 80% of the clothing that I was buying for Fall was within this color palette so I took it as a sign, lol.

I love your look! That midi is so pretty and I can see why you got it in two colors! Those shoes match perfectly and I love the top!
