One of the most anticipated restaurant openings in a while (I was new to the phenomenon and learned that in other cities, people regularly camped outside just to get a bite to eat), I gotta say, Hopdoddy’s Burger Bar did not disappoint.
During their soft opening last month, we were able to sample drinks and bites from their menu to get an overall feel of the restaurant and what it has to offer. A pretty hefty menu of burgers, craft spirits and even some sweet treats everything is made from scratch, and they work directly with farmers and ranchers around the country to source the best ingredients.
The standouts for me that night were the Doble Fina Margarita, Ahi Tuna Burger, Impossible Burger (plant-based and can also be made vegan) and the Breakfast Burger. Everything was seasoned so well (forget all of bells + whistles, the seasoning makes or breaks the burger for me), the drinks were strong but tasty, and the restaurant has a fun, lively vibe.
As to be expected, 9/10 you WILL have to wait in line now that it’s open, so be sure to go with a big appetite and a little time to spare. They do have a patio, though, and with it being right at the corner of Cooper and Madison in Overton Square, you won’t mind the wait. Maybe snap a pic of two with friends. 🙂

Tried it yesterday for the first time. The Classic burger, Garlic Parmesan Truffle fries, and the Skinny Dip to drink – AMAZING! I thoroughly enjoyed it!
