Modern boho decor might be my all-time favorite interior design style. It combines strong elements from Mid-Century Modern design and Traditional Bohemian flare, so when a home is decorated in this style, it’s a dreamy confection of colors and textures with a few clean lines thrown in. I’ve always loved the uniqueness that Mid-Century Modern furniture has (each pieces can bring a little character to the room), but the modern elements and colors help to keep it from looking dated. I realized a while ago that most people don’t live entirely within one design style, but finding combinations that work so that your home looks stylish but not kitschy can sometimes be a bit hard. I love this particular combo because if you love to thrift or change your mind often with pictures and other small decor elements like your pillows and rugs, you can easily swap things out without having to completely refurnish your home each time.
Set your foundation with strong statement pieces for each room (in your living room, your couch, coffee table and additional seating should all flow together), and then get playful with the rest of your style.
