I have always wanted a floral pantsuit, but I’ve had a helluva time finding one that I felt like was “me”. Until now. Being a shorty, I always worried about the print overwhelming me, but I knew that if I could find the right pattern and fit, that I would be able to rock it and not think twice about it.
After a fun event with Lane Bryant back in January (it was for their LIVI workout collection launch), I decided to try on this suit, which I had been eyeing the moment I stepped through the door. At first I was worried it was too much bc I didn’t have on the right shoes ( I had on workout clothes that day), but they gave me a pair to slip on and I was SOLD.
I love the cut of the trousers, and the suit has a little bit of stretch so it moves with you (for reference, I’m wearing a size 14 but they start at 10/12). Plus, IT’S DARK FLORALS and y’all know how much I love them! The suit went home with me, and I actually got to wear it to my co-workers wedding last month. I paired it with strappy black block heel sandals from Target (these are unbelievably comfy and I now have them in red as well) and a cute little metallic + lace Sam Edelman clutch from Shopbop (I didn’t want to take a black one because it was too expected”.)

In a sea of cocktail dresses I stood out in my suit and I received sooooo many compliments that night. I felt amazing, didn’t have to fuss with my clothing and was able to dance all night on the dance floor. I’d say I made the right choice, no? The full suit is almost sold out online (I’m a bad fashion blogger and don’t always wear my clothes when I first buy them), BUT they do have a few sizes left of the blazer + pant, and they can help you locate them instore as well.
Would you rock a floral pantsuit?
