Whenever I buy something new for my wardrobe, one of two things will happen: I will either wear it immediately (and nonstop depending on what it is), or wait forever to break it out, not quite sure of what I want to pair it with. Such was the case with this leather moto jacket from Target and pleated midi skirt from Shopbop.
I fell in love with the color of this moto jacket as soon as I saw it A YEAR AGO, but for whatever reason, I just let it hang in my closet. As for the pleated midi skirt, I purchased it about 3 months ago on super sale after buying it in a sunny yellow shade first. It was still cold out, but I knew that it would be a fun Spring transitional piece. This skirt is so versatile and can be worn so many different ways, regardless of personal style. It’s a wardrobe staple for sure.
When it came time to figure out an outfit to wear for the Memphis Flyer Spring Style shoot, I decided to pair these two finds together with bright white touches. I have been obsessing over white booties + shoes for a year now (and currently own 5 styles and counting, lol) and these ankle booties from Forever 21 are what started it.
I love how everything came together and joked during the shoot that I finally “looked” like a fashion blogger, haha. I’ve got to do better with wearing my new clothes sooner than later, though. I find too much cute stuff to keep holding it!
