You can never have too many little black dresses, right? I recently picked up this cute, casual ruffle sleeve tiered babydoll dress from American Threads while I was pulling for a shoot I had later in the week with The Shops of Saddle Creek (if you didn’t know, I started blogging for them this Summer and you can check out all of the posts here). I’ve been on a color kick lately (it was available in a pretty seafoam blue but they didn’t have my size), but I loved the cut of this dress so I tried it in black and I am so glad that I did.
It’s just one of those easy dresses that you can throw on without even thinking about it. I accessorized it with tan lace up sandals, a simple pendant necklace and a straw boater hat, but I am dying to wear it with a moto jacket and snakeskin booties once I find a pair for Fall.
It’s been a while since I shopped at American Threads (I have an oversized button up from them that I love, and I also got a really cute, out the box outfit from them that I’m going to share soon!) and they’ve started to get their Fall stuff in so there are a few more cute things that are on my list to get; if you’re in Memphis I’ll be there with fellow Memphis Bloggers Elizabeth Scott (@lifestyleinfocus) and Emily Redd (@EKRedd) this Thursday (8/22) for a fun Sip + Shop from 5p-7p.
You can save $20 off $100 while you shop their new Fall arrivals, so come and hang out with me if you can!
I couldn’t find my dress on their site, but they have a few locations around the country and you can probably call and order over the phone as well.
Do you like the babydoll dress trend?
