It’s hard to believe that the New Year is about to be upon us, but in a few days, we’ll all be saying hello to 2020. With that being said, what better way to celebrate bringing in the New Year than to toast it up with a champagne cocktail or 2?
For the last few years, I’ve really enjoyed celebrating New Year’s Eve with friends at a house party or from the comfort of my couch (where I have to set an alarm to wake us up within 5 minutes of the countdown in case we fall asleep, lol), but I always have some bubbly around for when the clock strikes midnight. A simple glass of champagne will always be a good choice, but there are so many different types of champagne cocktails to try that I’m open to switching it up this year.
Just in case you’re looking to do the same and/or try something different, here’s a roundup up champagne cocktails to toast with friends (or yourself):
Simple Strawberry Champagne Cocktail
Minted Cranberry Champagne Cocktail
New Year’s Eve Champagne Punch
Pro Tip: I’ve found that the more ingredients you use in your recipes, the “cheaper” the champagne can be. The cocktail will still be delicious and have that bubbly effect, but if you’re making a large batch of drinks this will help save you a little coin. Of course you can ball out and use my fave Veuve Clicquot, but if not, any ole bottle of bubbly will do.
