Skincare and makeup products are probably my favorite indulgence, so I thought I’d start sharing monthly favorites a little more in addition to the product reviews I do here and there. I am always trying something new, whether it’s a lipstick, foundation or concealer. I’ve been doing this since I was allowed to wear makeup (a nude lipstick at 11), so it’s a small spark of joy for me, especially considering everything that’s going on. Ok, enough babbling, let me get to talking.
BECCA Ultimate Coverage 24 Hour Foundation
So, I’ve liked BECCA’s highlighter products since they launched Champagne Pop with Jaclyn Hill, but I never thought to try any of their other products for some reason. A few weeks ago I watched Sofia Richie’s Vogue Beauty Tutorial and she mentioned mixing a BECCA + Bobbi Brown Foundation together. I couldn’t find the one that she used (apparently it’s not made anymore??) so I nabbed this one instead and I’m not mad at it. It’s a true full coverage foundation with 24-hour wear that stays humidity, sweat, water and transfer resistant and I love it. The consistency is thick and it dries down quickly, but your face doesn’t look like a mask. This is one of the closest matches I’ve ever had (my color is Cafe), and it oxidizes very little.
BECCA Prep + Blur Kit
When I purchased the foundation, I nabbed their Prep & Set Blur Kit for $5 as well. It includes their Skin Love Brighten & Blur Primer and Soft Light Blurring Powder in Golden Hour, which are designed to help you get a flawless finish with your base. I love any type of primer that has a blurring component since I hate the pores on my cheeks, and the powder is finely milled, so you don’t have to bake in in order to get that smooth, bright appearance. They all work really well together.
Kylie Cosmetics Bronzer
Bronzers are one of my favorite categories to try out, and one of my girls raves about Kylie Cosmetic products all the time, so I decided to try one of her bronzers when I was picking up the foundation. It’s a matte pressed powder that’s buildable (which is what I prefer with my bronzers and blushes. I don’t want streaks on my face). The shade I got is a warm amber, so if you want to add a little color to your cheek while softly contouring, it’s really good for that. I also like to use bronzer on my lids and forehead to warm up my entire face. This is an easy trick to do when you don’t want to wear a shadow but want your makeup to look a little more polished.
I’m wearing all of these products (plus a few others) in this look above.
I picked up all of the products I’m wearing at ULTA. I always shopped at ULTA, but this month I was selected to be part of the #UBCollective, their first ever influencer program. They picked ONE influencer from every state and I was selected for TN! I’m excited to be sharing more beauty content in collaboration with them, and just overall. When I first launched my blog I did product reviews all of the time (because again, I’m a product junkie, lol), so I’m looking forwarded to getting back to that. And who knows, I may even do some video content too! Eek!
If there are products that you’ve wondered about, I’d love to know what they are. Comment below!
