It took me a while to get into podcasts, but once I did I was hooked. Similar to audio books, you can absorb so much information while still being able to work on other projects, and for many people, it makes retaining need to know info so much easier as well. Initially, most of the podcasts that I listened to where focused on entreprenurialship and women’s stories, but once influencer marketing started to become a popular industry to work in, blogging and influencer focused podcasts started popping up.
Not all influencer podcasts are the same, though, and the ones that I tend to lean towards (and binge on), are the ones that come from people that either work on the brand/business side of influencer marketing, or they’re leaders within the industry that also aren’t strictly fashion focused. Their purpose isn’t to teach you how to create email funnels (which is what a LOT of people that claim to make money from blogging focus on). Their podcasts and influencer interviews give you tools that will help you put a few systems in place to stay organized, but above everything else, focus on creating better content. These are podcasts that understand how important it is to incorporate a lifestyle element into your content, and what’s needed in order to help influencers connect with their audiences so that no matter the level their following or reach is, they are still able to create great content and monetize it as well if that’s their goal.
In no particular order, these are podcasts that I believe that all influencers should listen to:

LIKEtoKNOW.it Influencer Radio
In 2011, Amber Venz Box and her co-founder, Baxter Box, began pioneering what today is known as the influencer industry. Their company, rewardStyle, is the largest influencer platform in the world, with 250 employees across 7 offices, empowering 45,000 influencers worldwide to provide for themselves and their families through their unique abilities to create content and connect with online audiences.
I’ll continue to update this post when I find new ones. The influencer marketing industry will continue to evolve because it’s still so new, but all of the podcasts above do great jobs in providing information that will continue to be relevant regardless of the changes.
